Q.
Why doesn’t Town & Country sell soy diesel in the winter months?
A.
The main challenge with soy diesel in the winter months is that the soy raises the cold filter plug point (CFPP) substantially as the percentage of soy in the fuel increases. We have tried some of the specially formulated soy winter additives designed to lower the CFPP with various degrees of success. Due to the fact that we could not insure the winter performance of our soyblends, we decided that it was in the best interest of our customers not to sell soy diesel from November thru February. -Bill Rohrbaugh
